USC The Business College is proud to announce the appointment of Thomas J. Finch to the position of Executive Vice President of Academics.  Mr. Finch previously worked  for USC from 1985 to 2001 in various capacities, including faculty member, Branch Campus Director, Dean of Students and ultimately Vice President and Academic Dean.  In 2001, he left USC to join North Country Community College in Saranac Lake, NY as Vice President for Academic Affairs.  During his eight years at North Country, Tom also assumed the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer and held numerous positions and offices including but not limited to Treasurer for SUNY CAO Organization, Saranac Lake CSD Board member, and SUNY Vice Chancellor Search Committee member. 

“We are thrilled to have him back at USC,”  USC’s President Philip M. Williams said.  When asked about his return to USC Finch said “It is great to be back home, and I look forward to the challenges in my new position.”  Tom will be responsible for all academic matters for USC, will oversee curriculum development, and aid the college in its State and Regional Accreditation.   Mr. Finch has already become active in the community, rejoining Our Lady of Lourdes Men’s Club and plans on rejoining The Greater Utica Sunrise Rotary Club, where he was a past member.
